Hey Jim,
Actually GM wants 10 billion which they say will only last them til February.
Personally, I dont think American taxpayers should bail these guys out. They should redo their business plan and get a grip.
The AUW's golden benefits package should be drastically modified which would save millions, not to mention, yes the CEO should cut his salary and eliminate his bonus..None of them deserve bonus' when they dont know what the heck they are doing.
I can see bailing out mortgage companies and banks because that affects us globally, but not the automakers. Hey, let Exxon subsidize these guys...You know they have secret pacts, huge SUV's and high prices of gas...win win for them, or maybe not? And dont forget people, now that gas prices are seriously coming down, dont let this fog our memories and stop the progress for getting away from dependency on foreign oil...Thats what the Saudi's are hoping for, just look at history.
I'm sick with everyone looking for a handout...Hey, give me a handout and every other American who is breaking his back to keep all the balls in the air...instead of asking us to pay for yet something else!!
